Photo Books Slide and 32 Day Winter
Monday, August 4, 2008
I just ordered my copy of SLIDE the new 10 year photo book from a photographer I really enjoy, Rob Mathis. Rob is a true OG and started shooting some of the most influential riders today right when they were just getting started. This book takes you back to the Forum Resistance days, early Brighton photos and new stuff from the 2007 season. When it comes to urban photography none compare to Rob in my book. I will post up some photos when I get the book… Can’t wait to see all that’s in there!
Go buy Rob’s book SLIDE and Blotto and Jeff Curtes Burton photo book 32 DAY WINTER which is also a great hardback coffee table style print.
Its all about showing your support to these hardworking photographers! These dudes are in the trenches year round busting there ass and freezing their fingers off to get these shots. Nobody really realizes what all goes into getting the images you flip through in each mag.

The Russell Hussle
Sunday, July 27, 2008
Nick is a radical dude. He is one of my favorite riders I shot with this past season. Some people are naturally gifted with amazing and unqiue style. Nick is one of these lucky people. Shit just comes natural for this dude, I could spot him riding anywhere….. We hooked him up with a Five Minutes on the Revolution this week with a photo gallery from yours truly. Check it out mon! Click Nicks hair to be linked through cyberspace to read his interview.

- I always enjoy re editing photos after a long period of time. This is a perfect example of a stock photo I had in color and I re edited it with one of my own lightroom presets. I’m very stoked the way it turned out. Nothing too special but, it gives a different vibe to the photo from the original color version. The park city pipe is great to shoot cause there is hardly any trees around leaving just pure sky frameage all day long!

While in Mammoth this past spring for WCI and Superpark we tagged alonged and filmed and shoot a Day in Life with Cody Rosenthal. Cody kills it on and off the snow and its pretty amazing to watch him skate. We did a special Sunday Sequence of three shots skating the Manuel pad at the volcom park in Mammoth.

Polaroid Discontinued
Friday, June 27, 2008
My friend told me the other day that all Polaroid cameras and film were being discontinued and the last two Polaroid film plants were shut down all due to the digital take over. Now I’m not super into taking Polaroid photos but I went ahead a bought one off ebay for like $5 with film and have been messing with it a bit. Pretty cool for an artsy fartsy type looking photo and I had forgot how cool the instant develop is. Gonna stock up on a bunch of film and put this in the growning camera collection.
